![]() It appears to push any entity within that range either two blocks away from the wielder or until it leaves that range. Similarly to the attack, it affects all surrounding blocks within that radius regardless of obstructions. The Sword's windblast appears to have a three block radius centered on the wielder. Because of this when I attacked a group of zombies from a soul shard I also lost a huge chunk of my hunger bar. Via matingmoose: For each enemy you hit with the area attack it is like swinging your sword and hitting each one of them individually. Also it removes two points of durability from your Sword so don't do that. Breaking a block with the Sword will not trigger the area damage effect, and displeases the somewhat-mighty-and-not-really-that-powerful God of Efficient Gaming (but then everything displeases that bastard). Note that you must hit a mob for the area damage to come into effect. This means you can hit things that are on the other side of one-block-thick diagonal walls, in doorways 1, in fence gates, etc. The Sword's attack will hit any secondary target in that 3x3 area, even if the path to said target is obstructed. EDIT: As Icecharger pointed out you run the risk of hitting and killing yourself with this weapon when you fight pigmen. The area damage usually does not affect the wielder. There is no decrease in damage to secondary targets. The Sword's attack appears to be a 3x3 square centered on the primary target. For comparison a diamond sword does 3.5, a Thaumium sword does 3, an iron sword does 3, and a diamond axe does 3. Note that the following info is purely from in-game testing, and thus may not be 100% accurate or reliable. ![]() I did some testing in creative mode today and found out a few things about the Sword of the Zephyr (Thaumcraft 3). ![]()
